I'd like to consider acting/animation for the "Manners" scene.
I may attend the colour workshop as well. Just because the film is largely monochrome and unsaturated, doesn't mean I'm off the hook for thinking about colour. Some greys are warmer or cooler than others.

January 21st Updates
I've created another slightly different pose test for the confrontation with Rahm, experimenting with slightly more extreme shots. As always, the password is "heyewe":

And of course, the updated animatic is here:

A few things I'm thinking I need feedback on:
- STORY?/SHOTS: I keep getting comments that the ending seems slow, especially when eve opens the hatch. How do I convey the same information differently?
- ANIMATION+SHOTS: After Eve successfully spells "HELP", I feel like what I have right now is a little bit awkward. What does Eve do? Does there need to be a cut?
- I've altered the "frog" scene a little bit. Does it still make sense? Did it EVER make sense?

January 7th Production Schedules and WIP Reel
The most up-to-date production schedule is available on my Google Drive. I have not yet added the dates for the completed shots due, but I have roughly put in the trailer and promotional materials. I do not anticipate any of the class deliverables being a problem:

My shot checklist can be viewed on Google Sheets:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11ox1gfoCtbx4sJRg8ZrorHdDAxZhqz-1aPPgXn1ijVk/view?usp=sharing
I have made the conscious decision not to assign specific shots to be done on specific days or weeks. I have found that my checklist is an effective tool for motivating me to be productive: it gives me the freedom to choose what to get done at what time, while also keeping me informed about my progress (see the OVERVIEW tab).
Micromanaging the schedule beyond that would not be useful to me. I would find myself working on the wrong things each day, then feeling guilty about that, then carrying that guilt into the next day. It would be an obstacle to getting anything done. The checklist, on the other hand, is very useful and motivating.
The most recent WIP reel is here. Password: heyewe
I am not yet sure what I want feedback on. If there is anything I obviously need to cut, or anything that doesn't make sense, that is my priority right now.
A few things I'm struggling with:
- The confrontation with Rahm. There are a few things that need to happen, and they need to be clear, but also paced quickly. Right now, it seems like I have Rahm standing still for a few seconds, which makes no sense. What would he be doing? Should I storyboard more of a series of action shots here?
- How do Eve and the other sheep react to seeing Rahm kill another ram on the video?
- I'm not 100% satisfied with the frog scene. It still feels like a lot is being explained verbally instead of visually. One thing I think would help is if Rahm ELECTROCUTES the frog instead of setting it on fire.
- I have not done much with regard to sound yet. Any suggestions on that front would be welcome.
- Should the "solitary confinement" scene be shorter or otherwise different than it is now?
